In celebration of their 30th year, Bridgeport Brewing Company is releasing their "Bridgeport Trilogy Series." The series consists of three special release beers. The first two will honor pivotal moments in Oregon craft brewing history, while the third explores what's to come in the future. The first of the three, Trilogy 1, a crystal dry-hopped pale ale, landed at G&M last week and is ready to be sold, purchased, and enjoyed.
Trilogy 1 uses a big charge of Crystal Hops at the end of fermentation for a pleasant dry-hop aroma and flavor. The presence of Rye malt gives this beer a slightly spicy malt character, and the Munich malts add a soft yet definite mouthfeel.
