Budweiser 'Won Big' in Fan Voting on CBS Special on 'Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials'

 During a live special last night, CBS-TV asked consumers to vote on the greatest Super Bowl commercials of all time from three finalists that had been culled from earlier online voting consisting of 10 brands, including Careerbuilder.com, Coke, Doritos, FedEx, GoDaddy.com and Pepsi. The final three came down to E*Trade, Victoria's Secret and Budweiser. Just before opening the envelope with the final results, show co-host Boomer Esiason said Budweiser "won big" in the live voting. Budweiser is "true Super Bowl beverage royalty," co-host Jillian Michaels said in announcing the winner. Anheuser-Busch gave CBS special access to the behind-the-scenes filming of "Return of the King," this year's Budweiser Super Bowl commercial with the Clydesdales. Commenting on the painstaking attention to detail behind the spot, A-B's Mike Stewart was interviewed for the program, as were a representative of Anomaly (the ad agency behind the ad) and director Jake Scott (son of Ridley Scott.)
