Sarah Panzau Evans spoke to West Prairie High School students in Sciota, IL on January 17,
Somewhere between life as a competitively driven high school athlete and the early years of college, Sarah began heading down a destructive path. She found herself hanging out with the wrong crowd, getting more out of drugs and dangerous levels of alcohol than hitting the books and spiking a ball. She was trapped in a pattern of making poor choices that would one day catch up with her.
Sarah spoke to the students about how her life has taken a new direction since the crash. She shared with them her messages about underage drinking, drunk driving, making smart choices, respecting parents and rising above disabilities.
In 2005, Sarah became a member of the Anheuser-Busch Speakers Bureau and after a year and a half of speaking regionally in Missouri, she began to speak nationally.
