September 2023 Recycling Promotion

During the month of September, G&M's recycling center will donate 3¢ per pound of aluminum cans recycled to the Habitat for Humanity program. Habitat for Humanity Knox County is celebrating 30 years of service to the community this year. They are a Christian organization that helps low-income families build their own homes. The philosophy of Habitat for Humanity is that the economically disadvantaged need capital, not charity, and co-workers, not caseworkers, in order to obtain a decent house in a decent community. Habitat for Humanity has many exciting new projects this year and will start a new build soon.
